LIESELOTTE CHAOSKAMPF

♦Background♦

Lieselotte was born in Gridania, one day she was told that both of her parents were dead during their adventure and has been taken care of by her aunt since she was little. One day, she learns from her father's apprentice that both of them are still alive and have since become accomplished adventurers. She then left her home in Gridania with her aunt's permission to study in Sharlayan Studium to follow in her parents' footsteps and find them.

She then graduated as an archaeologist and one day she joined an expedition on searching a Void Ark that been spotted around The Abalathia's Spine, the Sea of Clouds. During the expedition she found her father's journal inside the ark that tells about his last expedition went gone wrong and left a warning to anyone who found his journal. Shortly her expedition party got ambushed by a sky pirates that been stalking and following the expedition crews inside the ark, in the middle of their battle they accidentally awaken the voidsents in their slumber and starts attacking both sides. Lieselotte got fatally injuried when she's trying to save one of her colleague but luckily she is saved by a mysterious masked knight, one of the volunteer for the expedition party. They both escaped and returned back to the airship but it was already to late for the airship to depart as the voidsents managed to damage the ship engine, she and the remaining crews had no choice but to abandon and jump from the airship, they all got scattered around after the airship blew up in the sky.

Survived and stranded alone in Dravania, Lieselotte went into a comatose as her aether on her body got corrupted by the voidsent from the injury she had, she got treated by the locals in Idyllshire for half year and was unable to return home even after her condition slightly got better, she lost the contact from her colleagues wheter they survive and alive or not, she also didn't get any clue of her parents whereabouts. She then chose to stay and made a living by working for the locals there for a few years. One day, she's finally recovered and was about to leave Idyllshire but the children from the orphanage got kidnapped by some heretics and she had no choice but to rush and save them alone without waiting for a rescue party to come. She managed to locate the orphans and save them but the heretics spotted her action and start chasing them. She struggled to protect the orphans alone and fend off the heretics all at once but luckily a group of adventurer led by Lieselotte's aunt came to rescue her and the orphans just in time.

She met with the masked knight once again who just helped her aunt to locate Lieselotte, it was also revealed that her aunt was a free-paladin and also a voidsent hunter along with the masked knight and her parents before she's retired. She told her the truth that Lieselotte has been adopted by her parents ever since her mother found Lieselotte still infant in a hidden laboratory alone during their exploration inside a dungeon and then they decided to adopt her as their daughter, after both of them gone missing, the aunt asked the masked knight to infiltrate the Void Ark to find her brother, Lieselotte's father. Before the masked knight is about to leave, she asked him privately to train her to become stronger like her aunt, at first he refused her request and scolded her for being reckless by going alone to save the orphans and made her aunt worried, but somehow his soul stone resonates on her due to the strong will and oath she had to protect people around and to find her parents, he finally accepted her as his student and passed his combat technique to her.

She subsequently forges her dream and sworn to protect and save people in need just like her savior, and strive to become a "Shield-Maiden".
